The data that you select in the Headers, Items, or Definitions in the Copy Scope tab will be copied into the target in one of the following ways:

Copies into an existing specification

Creates a new specification under the target specification type and copies the data into it.

To copy the data in to target specification, you must select specifications in both the Source Spec and Target Spec tabs.

To copy the data into target specification type, you must select specification in the Source Spec tab and Specification Type in the Target Spec tab. In this case, the copied specification name is appended with suffix ‘copy’ which you can rename.

Procedure for Target Spec tab
The options Spec Type, Revision Options, Spec Code, and Description available in the Target Spec tab will be disabled if you have selected multiple source specifications in the Copy Scope tab. The selected specifications are created under respective specification type. In this case, you can directly navigate to the Preview tab.
You must provide at least one search criteria.

Click to select Spec Type.

Click Search. The search results are displayed on the right side.

Do one of the following as required:

Select a specification from the search results if you want to copy the data into an existing specification.

Do not select any specification so that the data is copied into a new specification.
When no target spec is selected, the source copy is created with suffix ‘copy’ at the target spec type.

Click Next to navigate to the Preview tab.
