Artificial Intelligence (AI) Configuration helps you by suggesting the Commodity Codes or Codelists during the auto map procedure. An AI Configuration must be trained till it reaches the required accuracy level so that the configuration can suggest accurate mappings. At any given time, you can have only one Configuration for the given staging area and mapping type.

If you want to re-train the configuration from scratch again, you can Reset it. When you reset the configuration, all the trainings that were done previously to train the configuration will be discarded. Along with that, you can import or export the mapped Commodity Codes/Codelists.

Prerequisites

  • Set the access permissions in Smart Material Web application. For more information, see Roles and Menus.

  • The administrator has to setup Authentication configuration details in the Administration module of Options page and login to SRD API. For more information, see Setup Authentication Configuration Details.

Users without admin privileges can access SRD API from SRD client by clicking on Authenticate API Access under Utilities. For more information, see the Utility section in Home.

  • Set the details such as number of cores, path, and frequency in the Administration module of Options page. For more information, see Configuration settings in Smart Reference Data.

When you start training the configuration, initially the SRD application displays a filtered list of recommended Commodity Codes/Codelists in the staging area. Using the filtered list, you must train the Configuration by mapping the Commodity Codes with Commodity Codes or Codelists with table details based on the Mapping Type you have selected. If you are training the Configuration for the first time, the accuracy of the configuration starts at Zero. Based on the number of mappings you perform, the Configuration gets trained and the accuracy increases. You can stop training the configuration at any level of accuracy and resume it later.

When you are training the configuration, a bulb icon available next to the AI Configuration button blinks continuously indicating that the configuration is in Training mode. If the Configure Auto Mapping feature is not trained at all, the bulb will be OFF indicating that the configuration is in Inactive mode.

After you finish training the configuration, you must change the Mode of configuration from Training to Production. Once the configuration is in production mode, based on the mappings you have performed while training the configuration, it suggests the Commodity Codes/table details in production. You can change the mode of configuration from Production to Training at any time to train the configuration again.

To sum up, there are different visual indications for the AI configuration, which is mentioned below:

Visual Indicator

State/Mode

What they mean

Inactive

Inactive Mode

Indicates that the configuration has never been trained

Inactive-active

Training Mode

Indicates that the training has started and is in progress

Active

Production Mode

Indicates that the training is complete
