Setting up a disconnected As-Built project for an external EPC begins with the O/O establishing a Change Management (CM) framework between Smart 3D and SDx. As with any As-Built project, connected or disconnected, the initial steps require the O/O to create an empty Change Management model and then register that model with SDx. Doing so enables the O/O to connect to the integrated environment to perform the required As-Built tasks of creating a work area definition and synchronizing it from SDx and then creating change actions for the necessary design work and allocating those change actions to the Change Management model. The final task in this phase of the process is for the O/O to create a backup of the Change Management model, and then send the dataset to the external EPC tasked with making the design changes.
