This troubleshooting topic only applies to those installing retired SmartPlant Markup
Plus versions 2019 SP 1 or prior.
Problem
The SmartPlant Markup Plus Server Status is UNKNOWN or DOWN in the Job Processor Status section of the SmartPlant Markup Plus Server Status page.
Solution
Restart third-party services:
-
Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services.
-
Verify that the Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service status is Started.
-
Restart third-party services:

Right-click Brava! Job Processor and click Restart.
If you are using a version prior to SmartPlant Markup Plus 2019 Service Pack 1, the job processor service is called Blazon Job Processor.
-
Right-click Blazon Queue Server and click Restart.
-
-
Close Services.
-
Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
-
Recycle the Brava! and Blazon AppPool application pools.
-
Close Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
-
Restart the computer.
-
Check the server status again in the Job Processor Status section of the SmartPlant Markup Plus Server Status page.
On your computer, you must use a domain user account that has administrative privileges
to avoid permissions errors after installing Brava! and Blazon Enterprise services.
The services cannot run correctly on a local system account because the services must
interact with other processes and components. Attempting to run Brava! and Blazon
Enterprise services on a local system account will cause unexpected behaviors with
these services.
