Before beginning an installation of the Smart Electrical Web API software, verify that your servers meet the requirements in this section.
Smart Electrical Web API can be installed on its own server without Intergraph Smart® Electrical being installed but does require a Smart Electrical .ini file 2018 HF1 or higher to connect to the database. However, Report functionality and Patch requests are not available with this configuration.
To use Smart Electrical Web API to its fullest potential, a full installation of Smart Electrical 2018 HF1 or higher should be on the same server as Smart Electrical Web API and configured for use with it.
We recommend using an SSD drive for the Smart Electrical server.
