Common attributes
The following attributes are common for all pipelines:
Name
Displays the name of the pipeline. By default, the software sets the pipeline reference for the first pipeline to P-1, the second pipeline to P-2, and so on. If you type a new name, the software also displays the name in the Pipeline Reference box. If you type a new name for a single, non-system POD, the change cascades up the tree and changes both the pipeline and the POD accordingly.
Global Offset
Specify the difference (offset) between the global origin and the model origin in XYZ coordinates.
Pipeline-specific attributes
Any of the attributes listed below may display in the Properties window when you select a pipeline in the Pipeline Explorer or Detail window.
The pipeline attributes that display in the Properties window and the ability to edit those attributes is controlled by I-Configure. For more information, see Project Defaults and Attributes in the I-Configure Help.
Alt Design Pressure
Specifies the alternative design pressure for the pipeline.
Alt Design Temperature
Specifies the alternative design temperature for the pipeline.
Batch/Area
Identifies a section of the plant or project to which the selected pipeline belongs. Batch and Area are used interchangeably.
