Prior to routing a pipe, make sure that your reference 3D model attributes are mapped
to corresponding Smart 3D attributes.

Click Route Pipe Command
on the vertical toolbar.

Point to the reference 3D port until the Circle 3d
glyph displays, and then click to route the pipe run.
For reference 3D turns and reducers, the software locks the route direction based
on your selection. If you select a point close to port 1, the software routes in the
direction of port 1. If you select a point close to port 2, the software routes in
the direction of port 2.

On the New Pipe Run Dialog, select the parent Pipeline.
If there are no pipeline systems defined in Workspace Explorer, create a new pipeline system. Alternatively, select a pipeline system from the database
to which you want to associate the new pipe run.

In the Name box, type a name for the pipe run. If you do not specify a name, the software automatically generates a name.

On the Reference 3D tab, enter all the required properties. You can also edit the existing properties as needed.

Click OK to close the dialog.

Select the end-point of the pipe run, and then continue routing.

Right-click to end routing.
