The following changes have been made to Project Management.

Hot Fix and Service Pack Updates

  • Rebuild selected index on the Database Maintenance Dialog is now enabled for both Oracle Standard Edition and SQL Standard Edition.

  • Added information about running multiple Model Data Reuse jobs from different Administrator computers simultaneously on the same model. See Model Data Reuse (MDR) Command.

  • The Coordinates Systems in Point Source list now enables you to use the point cloud coordinates systems available on the project. This functionality works only if you are using CloudWorx for Smart 3D 13.1 Hotfix with Smart 3D 13 Hotfix. (P2 CP:395296)

  • CyEnterprise (Cyclone Enterprise) has been added to the Model Type list on the Point Cloud Model Reference Dialog. Use this option to reference a Cyclone Enterprise-based point cloud model. (P2 CP:394127)

  • The new PointCloudCyEnterpriseUpgradeCommand custom command enables you to connect the attached CyEnterprise point cloud models with a server that has been upgraded to Smart 3D 13. See Upgrade the catalog and model databases. (P2 CP:394127)

  • The Generate SIO Utility supports transformation settings in a Smart Model from Smart Interop Publisher to specify its location within a site. For each translated Smart Model and Composite (.svf) Smart Model, Smart Interop Publisher generates an .iop file that Smart 3D and the Generate SIO Utility reads to obtain the required model location. See Generate Smart Interop Objects. (P3 CP:393148)

Version 13

  • The Data Recovery from SDx Command enables you to recover data from SDx in cases where the Smart 3D model has been restored to a previous state from a backup. (P1 CP:357207)

  • Simplified the point cloud model referencing process in Project Management. You can now attach multiple point cloud models separately for a single model database. See Attach a Point Cloud model. (P2 CP:296912)

  • Added information about the Clean IFC custom command. See Custom Commands. (P2 CP:338580)

  • Added the following new custom commands specific to Smart Interop Objects. See Custom Commands.

    • Convert Smart Interop Object (P1 CP:349312)

    • Report Smart Interop Objects (Slabs and Walls) (P2 CP:349101)

    • Repair Smart Interop Objects (Slabs and Walls) (P2 CP:349101)

    • Synchronize Smart Interop Objects Unmapped Data to SDx (P2 CP:355548)

    • View Smart Interop Object Unmapped Properties (P3 CP:355507)

  • You can edit the Generate SIO configuration file to do the following:

  • The new Register with SDx Command enables you to register a Smart 3D model with the SDx environment. (P2 CP:341384)

  • The new SDx Synchronization Status Monitor enables you to monitor the progress of the synchronize operations of multiple models on the same or different servers. You can also generate a status report that can include errors related to an unsuccessful synchronize to SDx operation. This information helps to resolve unsuccessful operations. (P2 CP:354438)

  • The Intergraph Smart 3D Share Service accesses the Smart 3D database and significantly improves the update performance. Changes such as new or modified objects in a 3D model are continuously updated so that downstream integrated clients such as Smart Construction can see the changes more quickly. (P2 CP:322350)

  • Improvements to error logging performance have been made. You can set up Microsoft® Application Insights, a feature of Azure Monitor, to be used by the Intergraph Smart 3D Share Service for monitoring and reporting system messages. Application Insights provides rich analytics support and monitoring capabilities with minimal impact to client system performance. See Define Integration Service settings. (P2 CP-376497)

  • The new Move Objects Between Permission Groups enables you to move all objects from a permission group at a workshare location to a permission group at the host location. (P2 CP:352011)

  • The Project Settings command (on the Tools menu) has been renamed to Model Settings. (P2 CP:345745)

  • The new Synchronize Styles with SDx Command enables you to synchronize material definitions and styles data between the Smart 3D Change Management and SDx. (P2 CP:351725 and P2 CP:351814)

  • The software automatically regenerates the Reports databases as part of the model upgrade process. See Upgrade the catalog and model databases. (P2 CP:352713)

  • The new Synchronize Work Area from SDx Command enables you to synchronize objects from a configured SDx instance to a registered Smart 3D Change Management model. (P2 (CP:355823)

  • The new Synchronize Subscribed Projects from SDx Command enables you to synchronize the projects you have subscribed to in SDx. (P2 CP:374296)

  • The new Model Purpose property enables you to control SDx service commands when creating a Smart 3D model. Two settings are available: Standard and Change Management. See General Tab (New Model Dialog). (P2 CP:363312)

  • When the Synchronize Model with Catalog Command process is complete, the software now displays a summary of the synchronize process. In previous versions, summary statistics were buried in the command log file. See Update a model globally with catalog changes and Synchronize Summary Window. (P3 CP:332396)

  • The software now uses model purpose-specific icons to differentiate between Standard models and Change Management models in the Project Management hierarchy. See Hierarchy icons. (P3 CP:360474)

  • The SDx Synchronization Status Monitor Command includes an option that enables you to mark data error objects so that they are picked up again for the synchronize to SDx operation. See Re-synchronize objects to SDx and Re-synchronize in SDx Synchronization Status Window. (P3 CP:370862)

  • The new Configure SDx Integration Settings Command enables you to configure the settings for synchronizing Smart Interop Objects and projects from SDx.

  • Reference 3D now supports SPRDirect Smart Interop Objects translated from Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher.

  • Reorganized the table of contents to create the following new sections:
