Lists the Smart 3D design objects in the project that the Intergraph Smart 3D Share Service has synchronized (successfully and unsuccessfully) to and from SDx. After reviewing the list, you can mark design objects as needed to be re-synchronized

The options that display in the Re-synchronize dialog vary depending on the following:

  • Model type: Change Management or Standard.

  • Method used to access the Re-synchronize dialog:

    1. Click Project > Re-Synchronize Command in a Smart 3D task. This method is commonly used by Smart 3D Designers.

    2. Click Start > Intergraph Smart 3D > SDx Synchronization Status Monitor, and then click the Re-synchronize link in the Synchronize to SDx Status pane. This method is commonly used by Smart 3D Administrators.

    3. Click Integration > SDx Synchronization Status Monitor Command in Project Management, and then click the Re-synchronize link in the SDx Synchronization Status window. This method is commonly used by Smart 3D Design Leads.

Select Project

Lists the primary projects available in the Change Management model. Selecting a project limits the display of design objects in the Data Grid to include only the objects in the selected project. You can select one or multiple projects.

You can only specify a project when you use the Re-synchronize command for a Change Management model. Because the Standard model does not work within the context of a project, the Select Project option does not display for Standard models.

View By

Indicates the types of synchronized design objects to display: data error objects only or all design objects. By default, only data error objects are displayed in the grid.

The ability to specify between Error Objects and All Objects is only available for Change Management models. For Standard models, the Re-synchronize dialog populates the Data Grid only with data error objects.

Error Objects

Displays the objects in the selected project that failed the synchronize to SDx process because of a data error.

The Intergraph Smart 3D Share Service reports two types of data errors: schema errors and design errors. Schema errors are resolved automatically when the schema is updated. After the schema is updated, schema error objects that you marked to re-synchronize are then picked by the Share Service and synchronized to SDx.

You cannot mark design error objects to be re-synchronized. A design error object must first be corrected by the Smart 3D designer. Afterwards, the Share Service automatically picks up the modified design object and synchronizes it to SDx.

All Objects

Displays both the design objects in the selected project that the Share Service successfully synchronized to SDx and the design objects that the service failed to synchronize because of a data error.

Column Chooser

Enables you to specify which columns to display in the grid. Click Column Chooser to open the columns list. To display a column in the grid, select its check box. Clear the check box to remove the column from the grid.

Data Grid

Lists the design objects in the project that have been synchronized to SDx. The Re-synchronize dialog displays the seven columns of data listed below by default in a grid format.

Object Name

Displays the name of the design object, such as STNoz2.

Object Type

Displays the type of design object, such as pipe support or cable tray.

Project Name

Displays the name of the selected project. This column is only populated for Change Management models.

Last Modified By

Displays the name of the designer who last modified the design object.

Last Modified Date

Displays the date that the design object was modified.

Sync Status

Indicates whether the object was successfully synchronized to SDx. The value that displays refers to the HTTP response status code issued by the server.

Sync Error Message

Displays the reason the design object failed to synchronize to SDx.

  • Use the Column Chooser to display any of the following three additional columns of data in the grid.

    • Object Id displays the ID of the design object.

    • Created By displays the name of the designer who created the design object.

    • Created Date displays the date when the design object was created.

  • Use any of the columns to filter the data. For example, you can filter by Object Type.

ReSynch_Filter

  • You can group data by dragging columns and dropping them on the bar above the Data Grid. The following example shows the data grouped by project.

Close

Closes the dialog.

Re-Synchronize

Marks the selected design objects for re-synchronization to SDx.
