The basic risk assessment allows you to select hazards, associate controls and PPE items with the selected hazards, and declare that the hazards and controls have been identified. There is no risk scoring at this level.
Complete a basic risk assessment

Select the Basic level.

Click SELECT HAZARDS AND CONTROLS. The hazards and controls selection screen opens.

Search for a hazard, select a hazard group or click Custom hazards to create a new custom hazard group.
If you create a custom hazard group, the custom group will only be available in this form.

Select or add the applicable hazards.

Select the applicable controls for the selected hazards. The mandatory controls are selected automatically and cannot be cleared. Click ADD A CUSTOM CONTROL to add a new custom control to the form.

Click REVIEW.

If you are satisfied with the selected hazards and controls, click Confirm. The selected hazard and controls, and their associated PPE items appear on the form.

If the list needs to edited, click Browse.

To edit the PPE, click Edit above the PPE section.

To add PPE items to the list, search for the required PPE items, select them from the list or add a custom PPE item. The mandatory PPE items are selected automatically and cannot be cleared.

When you are satisfied with the selected PPE items, click CONFIRM.

When all of the hazards and controls have been identified, select the ALARP (or your local equivalent) declaration.

Click SUBMIT.
