The new features of Smart Materials are separated by module.

General

  • A new project default ZP_RN_OWSP is introduced.

    • If the value is set to Default, when expediter releases RN,then the ownership of RN is directly transferred to the Supplier. Data is not synced in Jovix.

    • If the value is set to Traffic Coordinator’s control, once the RN is released by Expediter, the TC is given the control to transfer the ownership of RN to supplier. Data and ownership is transferred to Jovix at the same time when TC gives the ownership to supplier in Jovix.

    • If the value is set to Send RN data to Jovix on Approving the RN, data is transferred to Jovix to receive. Ownership of RN is kept at SMAT portal. In SMAT Portal, traffic related activities can be done. (CR-MA86243/3179482)

  • A new indicator Use SMAT Portal is added which indicates the actual owner of RN in Jovix/SMAT Portal.

    • If Use SMAT Portal indicator is checked, then the ownership of RN is near SMAT Portal and supplier will be able to edit the data only in SMAT portal

    • If Use SMAT Portal indicator is unchecked, then the ownership of RN is near Jovix and supplier will be able to edit the data only in Jovix. (CR-MA86246/3179485)

  • New password encryption mechanism is successfully implemented. (CR-83673/3053180)

  • Issue with the BIR commands is fixed and they are uniform now. (CR-MA84847/3105945)

Agreements

  • New field Supplier Authorize has been added to the Agreements screen in the Agreement Details / Supplier section, to capture an additional supplier contact. (CR-MA86651/3200442)

  • Event Level Long description is now expanded to 2000 characters. (CR-MA86883/3215729)

Companies

  • With the new DBA setting COMP_PORTAL_INVITATION you can control whether invitations for the Portal are sent to all supplier contacts or only to the primary contact.

    Allowed values for this DBA setting are ALL and PC.

    With the default setting of ALL all contacts will be invited.

    By setting the DBA setting to PC the invitation mail is only sent to the primary contact.

    If another contact is added to a login request (in Smart Materials Classic or Smart Materials), only one mail is now sent when a password is set for the contact. (CR-MA85674/3152235)

Expediting

  • IRC master and detail grids are facilitated with custom properties as well as CIP fields. (CR-MA83510/3044258)

  • A dialog to reconcile Release Note(s) after modifying transit day of Routing Method is now available. (CR-MA88141/3300472)

  • At an expediter level, you can now transfer PO ownership to any other supplier or revert it anytime during Jovix integration. (CR-MA85298/3131199, CR-MA85297/3131152)

  • Once PO ownership is transferred to Jovix, Import button will remain enabled. However, when user click it, an error message will display. (CR-MA-87646/3261317)

  • At an expediting level, when the ownership of PO is at supplier level during Jovix Integration, expediter will not be able to perform any of these actions:

    • split tag

    • split line

    • split quantity

    • adding of item shipments to MSC,IRC,RN

    • reverse approving a PO

    • approve a higher supplement of a PO. (CR-MA3131199/85303, CR-MA85302/3131194)

  • These features will be disabled when ownership of RN is on Jovix side.

    • Package creation

    • Split Tag

    • Split Line

    • Split Quantity. (CR-MA85386/3134067).

  • You can view RN in only read only mode when supplier is working on it in Jovix. (CR-MA85304/3131208).

  • Expediter will not be able to un-release the release note when the RN’s ownership is with supplier and they are working in Jovix. (CR-Ma86253/3179495)

  • In the Expediting > Item Shipment Details, you can now identify any manual input in the Forecasted Date column by looking at the Manual column.(CR-MA90010/3434807)

  • Expediter will be able to insert the comments on the header level in a similar pattern just like for the item shipments. (CR-MA85531/3143102)

Master Data

  • The supplier questionnaire now supports questions of answer type regular expression.

    When choosing answer type "regular expression" for a newly created question on Question List screen, you can use LOV Condition field to specify a regular expression which will be used in Smart Materials Portal to validate answers provided to this question.

Traffic

  • If a valid value is assigned to project default ZP_EML_SHP, then EML number is automatically assigned to Packing List after releasing the release notes from Expediting. (CR-MA77733/2772838)

  • Traffic Coordinator can now delete/reject/adjust the amount keyed in by Freight Forwarder, even after approval of an invoice attachment. (CR-MA84973/3113772)

  • Modified the total cost calculation to consider BaseUnit2 quantity. Now total quantity is calculated as Quantity*Unit Rate* BaseUnit2Quantity.

    Added new columns Base Unit2 and Quantity(Base unit2) in Price Code Details grid of Invoice Attachment screen. These column values are used in Transport Cost calculation.

    Additionally, made Quantity(Base unit2) editable for all price bases. (CR-MA89191/3369491)

  • When Traffic Coordinator transfer’s the ownership of RN to Supplier to work in Jovix, the status field indicates the changes accordingly. (CR-MA86249/3179488)

  • In the ownership transfer window, a new checkbox is added named as Use Jovix during SMAT Jovix integration. When TC wants to transfer the ownership to supplier to work in Jovix, they have to check "ownership to supplier" and "Use Jovix" checkboxes. (CR-MA87480/3249651)
