This installation procedure is applicable for installing Spoolgen Web API from a DVD or using a file downloaded from the Smart Support web site.

When installing Spoolgen Web API, make sure that you use a Windows user account with Administrator privileges.

Before you install Spoolgen Web API, you must configure IIS on the web API server. See Configure IIS features for Windows 10.

You must have a properly configured SSL certificate installed. See Install and configure an SSL certificate.

Begin the installation by downloading or navigating to the folder with the setup file.

Double-click the SpoolgenWebApiServiceSetup.exe setup file.

Click Start Setup on the Welcome page.

On the Details and Features page, enter the following:

Your user name and company details. You can enter any values for the user name and company name. However, you cannot leave these fields blank.

The product serial number.

Optionally, click the ellipsis button to specify an installation location other than the default path.

Select the Run Configuration Tool after Installation check box to automatically open the configuration tool when the Spoolgen Web API setup is complete. The configuration tool configures the Spoolgen Web API service on top of IIS and Smart API Manager.

Click Next.

On the License Agreement page, select your country and region from the list to view the license agreement in your language, and then select the I agree to the license agreement and conditions check box.

Click Install. If a User Account Control message box displays, click Yes to continue with the setup.

When the installation is complete, the Product Installation Completed page displays.

Click Finish.
If you selected Run the Configuration Tool after Installation on the Details and Features page, the Intergraph Spoolgen API Configuration Tool automatically opens when the installation completes. See Configure Spoolgen Web API.
