This topic explains how to connect a database source to a target.
The source and target do not have to be of the same database type or version.

SI INI file

In the Server Name field, type the name of the source server.

In the Database Name field, type the source database name.

SI INI file can only be selected if you have an SI ini file on the same machine as the Reference Data Comparison Utility. Selecting this option without an .ini file causes the Reference Data Comparison Utility to close.
