What's New in Drawings and Reports Reference Data - Intergraph Smart 3D - Release Notes/Bulletin

The following changes have been made to the Drawings and Reports reference data.

Hot Fix and Service Pack Updates

• Added information about modifying annotation modules created in .NET. Previously, customized .NET annotation DLLs were unavailable in the SharedContent folder. See Custom Annotation Modules in Annotation Modules. (P2 CP:332398)

• Added two graphic rules, Root Profile System and Leaf Profile System, to the hull lines view styles. See Profile System To Draw in Profile Systems on Hull Source (HullLinesRuleSets.DefaultRuleset). (P2 CP:336975)

• Added information about the new Generic Cutting Surface for Assembly cutting surface definition. Previously, the Generic Ruleset had limitations when using an assembly as the primary input. See Cutting Surface Intersection. (P2 CP:352013)

• You can now customize weld labels using the Label Rule Manager. Previously, you had to edit the physical connection properties for a weld symbol using the Structural Detailing task. See Symbol Configuration Tab in Label Rule Manager. (P2 CP:354193)

• Added information about Partially Bound by Target and Partially Bound by Target Plate options to Relation to Target custom test. (P2 CP:356299)

• Added the Draw Profile Orientation Mark at Ends and Profile Orientation Mark properties to the Custom tab of Graphic Style dialog. See Profile Systems on Hull Source (HullLinesRuleSets.DefaultRuleset). (P2 CP:378778)

• You can now specify a default distance between a label and a connection point when the software cannot find sufficient clear space between the minOffset and maxOffset properties. For more information, see defaultOffset in Clear Space Position by 2D Curve at Margin. (P3 CP:357542)

• Added the ability for distinguishing objects with Space Volume as an input for better selection of objects in drawings. For more information, see Block Location. (P4 CP:355049)

• The Steel Order - Structure.xml rule maintains section and slice views for equipment clipped by a drawing volume. • Added the Seam Graphics property to Seams on Hull Source (HullLinesRuleSets.DefaultRuleset). (P2 CP:376493)

• Added information on the use and behavior of the Opening To X custom graphic module. (P4 CP:386803)

• A new option, Check for bad child views, was added to the Select the check to run list in the Drawings Check and Repair Utility Dialog. (3718594)

• Smart 3D now enables you to transfer modified and updated reports between Global Workshare (GWS) locations. Previously, the permission group settings did not support transfer between GWS locations. See Configuration Tab (Properties Dialog) in the Smart 3D Orthographic Drawings Help. (P1 CP:278233)

• Added the Draw From Manufacturing XML (Optional) query to view styles that use the Profile Sketch rule set. The new query allows you to specify whether the software extracts profile sketch drawings from the Manufacturing XML. For more information, see Manufacturing Profile Sketch Rule Set. (P1 CP:313610)

• You can now add a point element to a symbol that only contains a text box element to ensure that label leaders stay attached to the symbol. For more information, see Select Graphic Rule Dialog. (P2 CP:169376)

• The Sample Custom Revision Properties for Bulkload.xls workbook allows you to add custom revision properties to your drawing. For more information, see Sample Custom Revision Properties for Bulkload Workbook. (P2 CP:273890)

• The Connect to Newest Text Box property allows you to control the leader line for a compound label. For more information, see Connect to Newest Text Box. (P2 CP:296673)

• Added a new custom graphic module that replaces a plate part with all its surfaces. For more information, see Generic Plate All Surfaces Without Features. (P2 CP:302429)

• You can now generate raster images of 3D objects along with the vector graphics when you create drawings. For more information, see View Style Properties Dialog, Actions Tab (Edit Ruleset View Style Dialog), and Raster Settings Dialog. (P2 CP:310860)

• You can now add the ZeroZ tag to the Drawings_UOM.rfp report template so that the software displays zero elevation coordinate labels as EL 0. Previously, the software displayed zero elevation coordinate labels as EL+0 or EL-0. For more information, see Labels. (P2 CP:315124)

• Removed references to plant content files which are not used to create the out-of-the-box catalog. These files are available on the customer support web site. (P2 CP:320719)

• Updated the definitions for quadrants used for positioning labels in clear space. For more information, see Clear Space Quadrant 2 and Clear Space Quadrant 4. (P3 CP:324551)
