This version of Smart P&ID supports licensing with Intergraph Smart® Licensing Client (ISL) only. Licensing with SmartPlant License Manager (SPLM) is no longer supported.
Documentation
All Smart P&ID documentation is now available online on the Hexagon documentation web site. We no longer deliver or install documentation with the software, except for the Readme.
This change to documentation allows us to update our documentation more quickly, giving you a better experience. The documentation web site also allows for searching across all documentation, the creation of personalized books that you can download as PDFs, bookmarking, and more.
To view the online documentation, go to Hexagon Documentation (https://docs.hexagonppm.com) You can also use the Help menu or F1 inside the product to launch the online documentation.
The Printable Guides command is no longer available from the Help menu, if you require a PDF of the documentation it is possible to create one from
the documentation site. For more information on creating a book for viewing or downloading,
see Create, manage, and share personal books.
Drawing Manager

A new option Print all selected drawings in a single document is now available in the Print dialog box. It prints all the selected drawings in a single document along with a legend. For more details, see Print Dialog.
Options Manager

A new command, Generate Symbol Images, is now available. Starting from Smart P&ID 2019 HF8, when a new plant or symbol is created or when changes are made to the symbology in the Icon layer, this command must be run to update the symbol images and CatalogExplorerSettings.bin file so that the symbol images appear in and can be used from Catalog Explorer. For details, see Generate Symbol Images Command.
P&ID Modeler/P&ID Engineering

A new command Show All Symbols is added to the Catalog Explorer that can be used to show or hide the symbols in a folder when the folder is selected in the tree view. For details, see Navigating in Catalog Explorer.

Two new properties - Commissioning System and Commissioning Subsystem, are added to OOTB plant which are mapped to System and Sub System values in Smart Completions. For details, see Integration with Smart Completions.
P&ID Modeler/P&ID Engineering/Drawing Manager

The new feature Create Auto Display Set automatically creates a display set for the plant or a drawing along with auto filters. For details, see Create Auto Display Set Command

In Apply Display Set dialog box, Legend Box check box is added. Selecting this check box displays a legend of the filters of a display set applied on a drawing and prints the legend when the drawing is printed. Refer to Display Set Legend for more details.
Projects / As-Built

When a drawing is used by multiple projects, the new Show Overlapping feature allows you to check graphical changes of your project with other projects to avoid overlapping of objects. For details, see Viewing Overlapping Drawings.
Save As
Smart P&ID 10 now allows:

Saving a drawing in AutoCAD 2018 file format. The shape and size of the symbols remain intact after conversion.

Translating the parametric symbols into AutoCAD groups and MicroStation cells.
Integration

Deletion of revisions is now allowed in an integrated environment where revisions are managed by Smart P&ID, provided the revised drawing has not yet been published.

On the Revision History dialog box, the Delete command is enabled for revisions managed by Smart P&ID if the plant is registered with SmartPlant Foundation and as long as the drawing has not been published.
