If there is no key point where you want the dimension to end, you can place a control point associated with the appropriate support and convert it to a key point. Follow the procedure below to add a key point using control point.

In the Workspace Explorer or graphic view, select an appropriate support.

On the main mein, click Insert > Control Point Command.

In the graphic view, position the control point, and then click to confirm the position.

Select Key Point in the Type box to convert the control point to a key point.

Select the support again, and click Properties to display the Support Properties Dialog.

On the Notes Tab, select the control point you added in the Key Point box.

Click New Note.

In the Notes at this location, listed by name box, type a name for the note.

In the Purpose of Note box, select General.

Click OK.
