With the complexity of maintaining a hospital or healthcare institution, managers and leaders need tools to help with not only maintaining assets but complying with varying and sometimes conflicting regulatory agencies from state/federal, local, and industry-specific bodies like The Joint Commission. HxGN has developed the HxGN EAM Healthcare Edition as a solution, tailored to meet and manage these challenges. This document will provide guidance on how to make the best use of this EAM application.
HxGN EAM Healthcare Edition is delivered with English translations only. Other than
English, translations for the configuration delivered with the Healthcare Edition
need to be created by the local office or by the customer.
To install the HxGN EAM Healthcare Edition, follow these configuration import installation requirements:

Perform on a fresh (empty) install of HxGN EAM before any patches are installed. Installing the Healthcare Edition configuration on a "used" database could result in overwritten boiler text, conflicting user codes, etc.

Select the "Wait for File to be Imported" option in the Import Base Configuration tab of Configuration Manager, otherwise, an error may occur relating to Categories when importing, and they will not be imported.

Perform a second configuration import installation. This will clear any errors experienced in the first import installation process.

Use the HxGN Import Utility to import prepopulated data (MS Excel spreadsheets) into the database. Prepopulated data includes Systems Codes, Categories and Closing Codes. See HxGN EAM Healthcare Configuration Installation.
