Show a video on how to edit one or more cells

  1. Click Add View to add a view.

  2. Select one or more column heading names to show them in the view.

    • Right-click on any one of the existing columns headers to view the list of columns that can be added to the view.

    • Clear the column heading name to hide it in the view.

  3. Right-click on the view name and select Rename View option to change the view name.

    You can rename the views created by you. The view name must be unique and must begin with a letter. The view name cannot contain the following special characters: * ' ? % / \

  4. Press ENTER or click anywhere outside the view name box to save the changes.

    Press the ESC key to exit the edit mode and discard the changes.

  5. Click on a cell to edit the information.

    You can edit the information in multiple cells of the same column simultaneously. To do so, select multiple rows, enter the new value in one of the cells, and press ENTER.

  6. Click Save.

    The component was saved successfully.

    There was an error while saving the information in the Smart Construction database. Hover over the icon to view the error details.

If you click the Refresh View Data before saving your changes, the view is updated with components data from the database and the changes made by you are lost.

  • You can rearrange the columns within a view by dragging the column headers to the desired position.

  • To search for component, select a property and type the search criteria, then click Execute Search. Search results do not display the unassigned values for the selected property. For example, if you have a property value is represented as checkboxes then you can only search for items with Boolean value as True (checked) or False (unchecked).

  • You can search for a specific numeric value and UoM combination when you have a column mapped to multiple UoM types. The search results will return an exact match considering the selected UoM type.
