A configuration file enables you to control the layers, colors, flange thickness, and OD data used for the graphical display of pipe and components in the output model. To use a configuration file during model generation, follow the steps below when you configure model output options (see Common Tasks).

  1. Select the Drawing tab on the Options panel.

  2. Select Use configuration to define level, colour, and OD data, and then click Browse .

    The Open Configuration File dialog box displays.

  3. Navigate to the folder that contains the XML configuration file, select the appropriate file, and then click Open.

    The software displays the full path location and name of the selected file in the Configuration File box.

  4. Continue setting output options as needed.

  5. When you are finished setting output options,generate the output model..

  • I-View CAD accesses the configuration file when you run the output model generation process.

  • There is no limit to the number of configuration files that you can set up. However, you can only reference one configuration file at a time.
