In this section, you will be able to:

Add or modify Stock Instrument.

Create a stock item Flow switch (commodity code: IIQAP2DTMACFZZZZ) with a tag number F-001. Stock items represent those piping items that are purchased from a manufacturer’s catalog, where no real engineering is required other than selecting the correct size, material, and so on.
This flow switch will use the symbol called SP3DFlowSwitch.FlowSwitch
Create a new commodity code for stock instrument

Ensure that you are in Component Manager and viewing the Commodity Group / Part / Commodity Code screen.

Navigate to the commodity group “I” and double-click on commodity part “IQ” to open its grid view.

Create a new commodity code as shown below.
Right-click and duplicate the existing commodity code and change the P_MATERIAL detail to “CG” to create commodity code IIQAP2DTMACDZZZZ.

Save the record and lock the grid.
Build idents for the stock instrument
Before you proceed, you must ensure that you are in the Component Manager and viewing the All Commodity Groups/Commodity Group/Part/Commodity Code screen.

Navigate to the new commodity code that you have just created (IIQAP2DTMACDZZZZ). Double click to open its grid view.

Go to Idents tab and click Show Idents to build button.
The system displays all the new idents that are yet to be built in the bottom grid.

Now click on Build all idents button to build all the idents.
Create records for InstrumentClassData sheet

Go to Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Configuration and go to Data Tables Configuration tab.

Right-click SDB_SAMPLE_CONFIG and click on Duplicate, rename it to TRAINING_INST_CONFIG.

Expand TRAINING_SHT_CONFIG and double-click the InstrumentClassData[Custom, Generic Tag] worksheet.

Add CodeList Number in View, and save the view.

Edit Grid, and in the Attributes grid, check the Codelist Number check-box for the attribute GeometryType.

Save the record and lock the grid.

Expand SDB_SHT_CONFIG, right-click on FlowSwich sheet, and click on Copy.

Right-click on TRAINING_INST_CONFIG, and click on Paste.

Click Yes in the below dialog box.

Go to Templates tab, duplicate SDB_TEMPLATE_SAMPLE, rename the new template to TRAINING_INST_TEMP.

Right click on TRAINING_INST_TEMP, click Edit and select "TRAINING_INST_CONFIG" and Save.

Expand TRAINING_INST_TEMP and double-click InstrumentClassData[Custom, Generic Tag].

Edit Grid and create the following record to add commodity code IIQAP2DTMAA4ZZZZ in templates.

Save the changes and lock the grid
Export instrument data from SRD

Go to Integration > Smart3D > Smart3D Configuration.

Go to the Data Tables tab and create new transfer type TRAINING_INSTRUMENTS.

Refresh the screen and double-click the TRAINING_INSTRUMENTS transfer type.

Add the following sheets in this transfer type.

Go to Integration > Smart3D > Smart3D Transfer Jobs

Create a new job by clicking the Add button and specify the job name and details as shown below.

Job: Instruments

Job Goal: Complete Job

General Config: SDB_CONFIG

Transfer Type: TRAINING_INSTRUMENTS

Destination: SDB_SP3D_DEST

Item Mapping: TRAINING_ITEM_MAPPING

Click Save and then click Yes in the following dialog box.

Add the instrument commodity codes under Idents tab as shown below. Save the record and lock the grid.

Now click on Start Job and click the Yes button in the below message.
