  1. In the Desktop Client, click File > New > Administration > Server Site and create a site as follows:

    • In the Server URL box, enter the fully qualified URL of the secondary site on the alternate server.

    • Enable the Is Site Active? option.

  2. Click Find > Administration > Schedulers to find the scheduler object you want to run on the alternate server.

    Only ReportScheduler and Published File Scheduler are supported on alternate servers.

  3. Drag and drop the site onto the scheduler to create the relationship.

    This relationship directs the scheduler tasks associated with the primary site to run on the alternate server.

  4. If the scheduler is already started, stop and restart the scheduler to make the change.

To discontinue use of the alternate server for scheduler activity, clear the Is Site Active? option for the server site and remove the relationship between the site and any schedulers.
