Animation > Display Sets > Lock Elevation

Toggles on and off locking movement to the current elevation so that the plan angle does not change. (This command also locks eye point elevation for some features that change the view.) When this lock command is on, the display set moves along its current elevation coordinate.

  • The Lock to Floor command overrides Lock Elevation. The elevation changes to the current elevation defined for the floor. See Set Floor for more information about defining coordinates for a floor.

  • All locking toggle commands are also available in the Animation toolbar. You can look at the lock command buttons in the Animation toolbar to see the different lock states. A pressed-in button indicates the lock state is active.

  1. Click Edit > Select Filter > Display Sets.

  2. From the Project Manager or the Main view, select the display set to move.

  3. To make sure display set motion is enabled, click Motion > [Display Set Name].

  4. To lock the display set motion to the current elevation, click Animation > Display Sets > Lock Elevation.

  5. Drag and drop the display set to its new location.
