Tools > Collision Detection

  • To use the collision detection functionality, you must install the Construction module.

  • Smart Review needs approximately 40MB of free space on the hard drive on which your TEMP folder is located to run collision detection.

Collision detection identifies when two or more objects have come into contact in a 3D model. Use Smart Review collision detection features to find out if there is sufficient space around objects or equipment in which they can operate properly, and determine if the objects can be maintained properly. Collision detection also helps you to locate pathways to safely move objects such as a construction crane through a plant. The information you obtain on collisions can be generated to a report in a format that is available for distribution.
