Before you begin, you must first register to your SDx server to revise 2D drawing documents. See Register with SDx Command in the Project Management Help.

  1. If you are publishing and revising for a Brownfield Smart 3D model in which the work area was retrieved from an SDx As-Built plant, you must set the active As-Built project in the System list in the main Smart 3D toolbar. Select More in the System list, and then ensure that the project assigned to the Change Management model is selected for the revision. For As-Built information, see Prepare my design model for handover and Create a Smart 3D Change Management model in the Smart 3D Project As-Built with HxGN Help, and Work with Project As-Built and SDx in the Smart 3D Project Management Help.

  2. Right-click your drawing document and select the Revise with SDx Command to display the Revise dialog.

    • You can multi-select documents in the Detail View, or you can select a folder in the Management Console hierarchy to select all of the documents within the folder if they all have the same revision level.

    • If the Revise with SDx command is not available on the shortcut menu, check the properties on the document. Right-click the document and select the Properties Command. Go to the WBS tab of the Properties dialog and make sure that you have a Document type and Discipline set for the document. See Set properties for publishing documents in the Smart 3D Integration Help.

  3. For a new document or a document that does not yet have a defined revision scheme, select the revision scheme to use from the Revision Scheme list.

  4. Select the next available major and minor revision numbers, and then click OK. The revision record is saved to the model database.

  5. Re-publish the 2D drawing. See Publish to SDx Command.
