Report selection criteria have defined properties that users can select for reports. You must create new selection criteria on the custom report object in SmartPlant Foundation.

Find the custom report for the new selection criterion

  1. Log on to SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client as an administrator.

  2. Find the custom report object you want to add the selection criterion to.

    • Click Smart Construction > Find > Administration > Custom Reports.

    • Type the report name in the Find Custom Reports dialog box.

    • Click OK.

  3. Right-click the report name and select Manage Selection Criteria to open the Manage Selection Criteria dialog box.

Create a new report selection criterion

  1. Click Create a new item and relate it on the Manage Selection Criteria dialog box to open the SPC_ReportParam window.

  2. Type a name in the Name box.

  3. Type a description in the Description box.

  4. Type the name of a graph edge in the Graph Edge Name box.

  5. Type the name of property definition in the Property box.

  6. Type an interface definition name in the Search Interface box for SmartPlant Foundation to search for all objects that have that interface definition.

    • If a search interface definition is used, the report selection criterion uses a combo box control on the Report Options dialog box.

    • If a search criterion is defined, type UID in the Property box; search criteria using UID for the property definition.

  7. Type an operator in the Operator box.

    The following operators can be used =, <, >, <=, and >=.

  8. Select the Required option if the new criterion is required.

  9. Type a value in the Default box to set a default value for a report.

    The default value sets a default value for the report criterion. Users can override the default value and select another value, if available.

  10. Click Finish to save changes.

Order and add the report selection criterion to the custom report object

  1. On the Manage Selection Criteria dialog box, click Move Selected Item Up or Move Selected Item Down to order the criteria.

  2. Click OK to add report criteria to the custom report object.

Verify the report selection criterion is available on the report

  1. Log on to Smart Construction.

  2. Click Reports on the Home Page.

  3. Select the report that contains the configured criterion.

  4. Verify that the criterion displays on the Report Options dialog box.
