For the plant hierarchy example that you have created for this Tutorial, the lowest plant hierarchy level is UNIT. When you log on to SmartPlant Instrumentation, you must select the unit in which you are going to work.

On the Windows Start menu, click Programs > Intergraph SmartPlant Instrumentation > SmartPlant Instrumentation.

On the Logon Information dialog box, type USER1 as both your user name and password.
Upon first login you will be offered to change the password set by the system administrator.
Click Yes to change the password or No to disregard. You will not be prompted during subsequent logins.

On the Open dialog box, expand the DEMO domain hierarchy and select Crude Unit 1 as shown:

Click OK to open Crude Unit 1 in SmartPlant Instrumentation.
