  1. Click SmartPlant > Publish.

  2. Select a plant in the Select Plant or Project dialog box.

  3. Click OK. The Select Documents dialog box appears.

  4. Select one or more documents in the list box.

SHARED Tip If you want to select more documents to publish, Click Engineering Tool on the Publish dialog box to display the SmartPlant Test Tool Select Documents dialog box.

If you run in non-UI mode, the Custom hierarchy option is not available.

  5. If the Documents revised in projects dialog box appears, click one of the following options:

    • Yes - Continue with the publish process. All the listed documents are published to the plant.

    • No - Publish only the documents that have not been revised into a project.

    • Cancel - Stop the publish process.

The Documents revised in projects dialog box appears if you are publishing from the plant level of an authoring tool, and that authoring tool is configured to use ICC2, and one or more of the selected documents has been revised into a project. The dialog box lists all the documents revised in the project.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Select a workflow or revision scheme for each document, if needed.

    • If you chose to run in non-UI mode, the tool will automatically publish the documents you selected, and a confirmation dialog box appears and reports success or failure.

    • If you are publishing from any authoring tool or from SmartPlant Foundation Test Tool, the Major and Minor revision lists of the selected document or documents appears only if you have not revised the document using SPF Revision or Tool Revision.

  8. Click OK on the Publish dialog box. A dialog box will display after some time to report success or failure on the publish.

If the authoring tool in SmartPlant Foundation has been configured to use Intercompany Collaboration 2 (ICC2), the published document will be placed in the same configuration as it was published from. In other words, if the document was located in Project 1A in the authoring environment, then the published document will also be placed in Project 1A.
