The SmartPlant Common UI is the component that design tools will integrate with to communicate with other integrated SmartPlant Enterprise tools. This document describes the API exposed through the IEFCommonUI.dll interface DLL. There will be an implementation DLL, called EFCommonUI.dll, that supports the IEFCommonUI interface. The design tools will use the API exposed through the EFCommonUI interface DLL to access integration functionality.
The SmartPlant Test Tool delivered with SmartPlant® Client demonstrates many features of SmartPlant Common UI and of SmartPlant adapters. SmartPlant Test Tool's source code is delivered with SmartPlant Test Tool so developers will have available working code that demonstrates how an authoring tool may communicate with SmartPlant Common UI.
