Click SmartPlant > Register.

Type a tool plant name in the Plant name in engineering tool box.

To change the location of the SmartPlant Test Tool plant test document files, select another folder from the tree under Tool plant files directory.

In most cases, you can use the default value for the location of the Test Tool's document files. For more information about the location of test files, see Test Document Files.

Tool plants exist separately from SmartPlant Foundation plants. The name of a tool plant is not necessarily the same as the name of the SmartPlant Foundation plant with which it is registered.

To register a plant that will use only the SmartPlant Test Tool interface, click the Use user interface specific to .

Click OK.

Type the URL of the plant to which you want to register in the SmartPlant Foundation URL box, and click OK.

Select the plant to which you want to register from the SmartPlant Foundation plants list, and click OK. If the registration completes successfully, a message box appears to let you know that the plant is registered.
