When you delete a document in an authoring tool that was previously published to SmartPlant Foundation, you need to terminate that document. Terminating the document updates the information in SmartPlant Foundation about the document so that other authoring tools will not retrieve them.

  1. From within the authoring tool, click SmartPlant > Find Documents to Publish.

  2. Using the Select Plant or Project dialog box, select the plant or project that contains the document you want to terminate, and then click OK.

SHARED Tip Terminating documents as the project- level is possible only when using Intercompany Collaboration 2 (ICC2). For more information, see Intercompany Collaboration 2.

  3. On the Select Documents dialog box, click Cancel.

  4. In the Find Documents to Publish dialog box, select the check boxes by any documents in the Terminate list that you want to terminate in SmartPlant Foundation, and click OK.

    FindDocumentstoPublish

SHARED Tip The Terminate list contains documents that were previously published to SmartPlant Foundation and were later deleted from the active plant but have not yet been published to SmartPlant Foundation with terminate instructions.

  5. Publish the documents to SmartPlant Foundation so that the documents stored there will be marked as terminated.

To terminate a document published to a project at the plant level, you need to first terminate the document at the project level. After the project level document has been terminated, the plant level revisions can be terminated.
