Link
When displays, indicates that the load case is linked to the .c2 model file defined for CAESAR II Output File in the Flange Pair input tab.
Click Refresh Linked Cases to update a linked load case when the CAESAR II model file changes.
Number
Displays the sequence number for the load case.
-
For imported load cases, the value matches the load case number from the CAESAR II output file (such as 1 for Case 1 and 2 for Case 2).
-
For custom load cases, the value matches the order of creation, and is appended with "u" (such as, 1u, 2u).
To change the order of a load case in the grid, click the Number field of a row, and drag the row to the required location. The value of Number does not change.
This is a read-only field.
Name
Specifies the load case name. When the load case is linked (displaying in the Link column), displays the name from of the imported load case.
Flange Pair Loads
Load Type
Specifies the loads for each stress type: Installation, Pressure Test, and Operating.

For more information on CAESAR II stress types, see Stress Type.
Flange Temp
Displays the temperature for the load type.
For a load type of Install, the software displays the ambient temperature for the SUS case from the .c2 model file.
Bolt Percent of Flange Temp
Defines the percentage of the flange temperature to use as the bolt temperature.
Pressure
Defines the fluid pressure for the specified load type and temperature.
Axial Force
Defines the external axial force applied to the flange for the specified load type and temperature.
Bending Moment M1
Defines M1, a component of the external bending moment applied to the flange for the specified load type and temperature. M1 is perpendicular to M2.
The total bending moment used in the calculations is (M12 + M22)1/2
Bending Moment M2
Defines M2, a component of the external bending moment applied to the flange for the specified load type and temperature. M2 is perpendicular to M1.
The total bending moment used in the calculations is (M12 + M22)1/2
Date Analyzed
Displays the date of static analysis for the .c2 model file
Gasket Properties
Gasket properties only display when you clear Annex G (EN 1591-1:2001) on the Flange Pair input tab.
Min Compressive Stress (QA/Qsmin)
Defines QA or Qsmin, the minimum original gasket surface pressure.
-
QA is the gasket surface pressure at assembly and at the service temperature prior to unloading.
-
Qsmin is the minimum level of gasket surface pressure required for tightness class L after off-loading.
This value corresponds to Q0,min in EN 13445 Annex G.
Max Compressive Stress (Qsmax)
Defines Qsmax, the maximum gasket surface pressure at the service temperature that can be safely imposed upon the gasket without damage.
This value corresponds to Qmax in EN 13445 Annex G.
Compressive Emod (EG)
Defines EG, the modulus of elasticity of the gasket at the temperature of the load case.
Creep Factor (PQR)
Defines PQR, the ratio of the residual and the original gasket surface pressure at load conditions.
