The log file is useful in identifying problems that may have been encountered by the interface during the data transfer. The log file is divided into the following sections:

  • Introduction

Lists general notes about the interface and defines the error code. Typically, this is a one-page summary.

  • Section 1

Lists the entity information as read from the CADPIPE connectivity file. Each entity is grouped into one of four possible element types, node numbers are assigned, and the coordinate system is rotated to conform to the standard pipe stress coordinate system (Y vertical).

  • Section 2

Details the interpretation and model building process.

  • Section 3

Lists the final transformed data which the interface system wrote as the CAESAR II input file.
