  • Run Options

  • BOM Options

  • Job Execution Statistics

  • Buttons

Reservation

  1. On the Home page, click Site > Construction Planning > Forecast/Reservation Overview.

  2. Click Create Reservation Run.

  3. Type the reservation code in the Reservation Code box.

  4. Type the descriptions of the reservation run in the Short Description and Description boxes.

  5. Type a unique Run Number of the reservation run.

Run Options

  1. In the Run Options section, select a Shortage type from the list.

    • If you select 2-Pass Optimized (Any), then the reservation run will include all nodes in its reservation result set for which any material can be allocated, allowing any shortage.

    • If you select 2-Pass Optimized (1), in the first step, the reservation run attempts to allocate only complete BOMs. In the second step, it allocates the rest of the BOMs.

    • If you select 2-Pass Optimized (2), then in the first step, the reservation run attempts to allocate only complete BOMs. In the second step, it then tries to allocate the remaining BOMs, allowing any shortage per BOM node.

    • If you select 2- Pass CIP, then the reservation run tries to allocate the nodes for which any material could be allocated, thus allowing any shortage.

  2. Select a Split Type by which the reservation run is split. The following types are available:

    • None (default)

    • Node Name

    • Node Property

    • Position Property

If you select the Node Property or Position Property split type, you must select a property from the list in the Split Property. Based on the value of this property, the reservation run will be split.

  3. Select an Allocate Level to define what pre-receiving level the reservation run should look for material. The following types are available:

    • Only Inventory: Material must be in the inventory and available in the warehouse that has been assigned to the reservation run.

    • Shipped Items: Material must be shipped and the Actual Ship cell must be filled in Expediting.

    • Approved Purchase Orders- Purchase orders must be approved even if the material may not have been approved.

    • Approved Requisitions- Material of the latest approved purchase order requisition supplements is considered.

    • All Requisitions- Latest supplement is considered, whether it has been approved or not.

  4. Select a Split Property which is to be used if split type Node Property or Position Property has been chosen.

  5. Select a Delivery Type or Delivery Designation from the list.

  6. Select a type of Priority specified for nodes assigned to the work packages within the reservation run. The following types are available:

    • Null- Default value

    • Issued First- Material which has an issue quantity first.

    • Node Property- Material with the node attribute first.

    • Install_Pay_Item (CIP)

    • Weight (CIP)- To calculate the weight of the nodes assigned to the work packages.

    • If you select Priority as Null or Issued First, Sort Order and Property list are disabled.

    • Priority Type column is a combination of constant data coming from the database such as WEIGHT(CIP) and INSTALL_PAY_ITEM(CIP). Since the data comes from the database, it cannot be translated.

  7. Select a Tag No. Option, Sort Order and Property from the list.

  8. Select All Positions- if the positions that were not reserved should be traced.

  9. Select Positions with full site-qtys- if all BOM positions which are in the scope of run definition are marked regardless of their site quantities.

  10. Select Auto Subst/Trans- if substitution/transformation should be done automatically

  11. Select Exclude MIR qty's- if for a list position the forecasted/reserved quantity shall be reduced in forecast and reservation runs on unposted MIR by BOM.

BOM Options

  1. Select Best Quantity- if the best quantity of list position should be calculated.

If you select Best Quantity, Issue Status gets disabled.
