This command defines an offset equal to the insulation thickness of the specified item. The offset can be used as input to the Define Precision Point commands. For example, it can be used with Construct Point to move the constructed point a distance of the insulation thickness in the direction specified by the active Move field in the Construct Point form.

Before using this command

Select a command such as Construct Point which may use an offset for input.

  1. Identify Component, Pipe, or Segment or Accept Active Data by selecting Accept to use the active segment insulation thickness or place a data point to locate a component connect point or pipe to use the insulation thickness of the selected item. You can also snap to a piping segment to use the insulation thickness of the selected segment.

  2. Accept or Re-specify distance by selecting Accept or select another option from the form.
