If you select either a release note without packages or an 'NN' package node in the tree, the Traffic Detail window opens where all unpackaged item shipments of a release note are displayed, except of master tags.

To calculate the volume and freight tons of an item shipment as well as of all dependent higher levels, you can enter the x, y, and z dimensions along with the unit for these dimensions.

These dimensions can also be entered on the P.70.72 Expediting Details and P.70.74 Packages screens.

The display of the item shipments is ordered by:

  • exceptional material

  • heavy/oversized material

  • general cargo

Within these categories, the item shipments are ordered by position and sub-position. Please read the description provided for the Pos field for more information.

The Pos field displays the order line item number. If the total weight of the item shipment exceeds the value of project default ZP_EXC_WGT, or if its x-, y-, or z-dimension exceeds the value of ZP_EXC_X, ZP_EXC_Y, or ZP_EXC_Z, respectively, the material is regarded as exceptional and marked by a cyan background color for this field. If the total weight of the item shipment exceeds the value of ZP_MAX_WGT but is smaller than the value of ZP_EXC_WGT, the material is regarded as heavy and marked by a magenta background color. If the x-, y-, or z-dimension of the item shipment exceeds the value of ZP_MAX_X/ZP_MAX_Y/ZP_MAX_Z but is smaller than the value of ZP_EXC_X/ZP_EXC_Y/ZP_EXC_Z, the material is regarded as oversized and marked by a magenta background color. Bulk material is never regarded as being exceptional, heavy, or oversized regardless of its actual weight or dimensions.

To view all VDRs attached to this item shipment, you can double-click in this field to open the D.90.21 Attachments screen where VDRs can be modified or attached to the item shipment. For more information, see Attachments.

The Sub field displays the order sub line item number.

The IS Pos field displays the item shipment line item number. For item shipments created by the buyer, this position number is increased. For item shipments created by the expediter, the position number is kept and the sub line item number is increased.

The IS Sub field displays the item shipment sub line item number. Item shipments created by the buyer have a sub line item number of 1. For item shipments created by the expediter, the position number is kept and the sub line item number is increased.

The supplement of the order is displayed in the Suppl field. Depending on the setting of project default ZP_ISH_QTY, the latest supplement (ZP_ISH_QTY = NEW) or the first supplement for which the item shipment has been created (ZP_ISH_QTY = KEEP or KWO0) is shown.

The Ident Code field shows the ident code for the ident placed on this item shipment. The background color of this field is set to red if the attribute defined by project default ZP_DEVATTR is assigned to the item shipment.

The Size 1 to 5 fields show the sizes of the ident.

The Commodity Code field displays the commodity code of this item shipment.

The tag number of a tagged item is displayed in the Tag Number field.

The Delivery Designation, Routing Method, Incoterm, and Delivery Place fields display the corresponding transportation information.

The release note quantity is shown in the Outstanding Quantity field, with its unit in the Quantity Unit field.

The release note weight is shown in the Release Note Weight field, with its unit in the RN Weight Unit field.

The Total Weight field shows the total weight of the item shipment either on the order or on the release note. In the case of an order, the weight is the product of the item shipment quantity and the item shipment weight. In the case of a release note, it is the product of the release note quantity and the release note weight.

The x-, y-, and z-dimension of the item shipment is displayed in the x/y/z Dimension fields. Unless the data displayed does not belong to a supplement, the dimensions can be updated at any time regardless of the assignment or the approval of a release note.

The unit of the dimensions is shown in the Dim Unit field. The setting of project default ZX_DIM is used as the default value. You can select another unit from the LOV in this field; all units defined for the unit groups 'DIMENSION', 'LENGTH', and 'QUANTITY' can be selected.

The Item Ship Volume field displays the volume of the item shipment (for a quantity of 1) for the unit provided by project default ZX_VOLUME. This volume is calculated automatically by multiplying the x, y, and z dimensions of the item shipment. If necessary, the dimensions are converted to the unit given by project default ZX_DIM. If a conversion factor is needed but missing on A.10.13 Unit to Unit, a volume of -1 is displayed.

It is highly recommended to set project defaults ZX_DIM and ZX_VOLUME so that they match.

The Volume Unit field shows the unit of the volume, defined by the project default ZX_VOLUME.

The Freight Ton field displays the freight tons of the item shipment. The freight ton value is the maximum of either the total weight in metric tons or the total volume in cubic meters, whichever is greater. The calculation of the freight tons requires that the project defaults ZX_TON and ZX_CUBIC_M are set and possibly conversion factors are defined on A.10.13 Unit to Unit. With ZX_TON, you define the metric weight unit that represents 'tons'; with ZX_CUBIC_M, you define the unit that represents 'cubic meters'. If any weight unit or the default volume unit of the project differ from these units, a conversion is done before determining the freight tons. A freight ton value of -1 indicates that a conversion factor is missing on A.10.13.

The Ident Short Description field shows the ident short description.

If an ident deviation has occurred for the item shipment, that is, if the attribute that has been assigned to project default ZP_DEVATTR is attached to the item shipment, the value of this attribute is shown in the Ident Deviation field because this value is assumed to be the new correct ident short description. In the Ident Short Description field, the description of the ident that is actually on the item shipment is always displayed.

For descriptions of the other fields, see Date Ranges.
