Using the Copy button, you can copy either the line items and attachments of an inquiry requisition to the current requisition, or you can copy the attachments like documents, text and terms, VDRs, notes and attributes from another requisition to the current requisition.

This button is only enabled if:

  • the requisition has not been approved yet,

  • the requisition has already been saved once (When creating a requisition manually, the user must first commit the record before he can copy attachments)

  • the requisition is of the same discipline the user is logged in.

As long as the requisition is not approved, you can repeat the copy process.

When you click the Copy button, Window 4 opens.

This window consists of two parts:

Copy Data

In the upper part, you can copy the line items and attachments of an inquiry-only requisition to the current requisition, which was created manually and which does not have any line items or attachments assigned. Select an inquiry-only requisition from the LOV in the Copy Data from field. The LOV displays all inquiry-only requisitions of the discipline the user is currently logged in, and which were created by an MTO job. Then click the upper Copy button to start the copy procedure. The software will copy the line items and attachments from the selected inquiry-only requisition to the current requisition.

If the requisition is not empty with regard to line items and attachments, copying is not allowed and you will see an equivalent error message.

Copy Attachments

In the lower part, you can copy the attachments from another requisition to the current requisition. Select the source requisition from the LOV in the Copy Attachments from field. Then choose which attachments you want to copy, by selecting the corresponding options. These options are available:

  • Copy attached documents

  • Copy attached text and terms

  • Copy attached VDRs

  • Copy attached notes

  • Copy attached attributes

Then click the lower Copy button to start the copy procedure. Existing attachments of the current requisition will not be changed, except if an attachment of the source requisition has a higher revision. In that case, the original attachment will be replaced by the attachment with the higher revision.

You can use both Cancel buttons to cancel the copy process and to close the window.
