To assign project specific prices to idents, click the Assign Project Specific Price to Ident button on AS.10.01.

The various steps performed in assigning a price to idents are as follows:

  1. The highest supplier priority price agreement is chosen.

  2. Project-based idents (from BOM and specifications) are fetched based on the following conditions:

    • If the price list item has the information of geometric and details, then the geometrics of price list item and ident should match, and the details of price list item and commodity code (associated with the selected ident) should match.

    • If the price list item has the information of geometric only, then all the idents are selected which have the same geometric information as the price list item.

    • If the price list item has the information of detail only, then all the commodity codes of the project-based idents are selected which have the same detail information in commodity code details as the price list item.

  3. Calculate the prices based on the key-factor% and assign these prices to the retrieved idents. The following is the logic which is used to calculate the ident price:

    • The ident is searched only in the normal catalog.

    • If the ident is found in the normal catalog, the price against the price list item will be considered.

    • This ident will then be searched in all extra price catalogs assigned to this normal catalog. If the ident is found in one or more extra price catalog sections, then the deviation assigned to the extra price list item will be considered, and the price for the ident will be increased depending on the price deviation type (Percent Value or Fixed Amount).

For example:

  1. Ident is found in the normal catalog with price 100.

  2. The same ident is found in three different extra price catalog sections with the following price deviations:

    • Extra Price 1 à 10 with price deviation type = Percent Value

    • Extra Price 2 à 20 with price deviation type = Percent Value

    • Extra Price 3 à 30 with price deviation type = Fixed Amount

  3. The price for the ident is: 100 + 10%*100 + 20%*100 + 30 = 160.

  4. For this price (160), the Key Factor assigned to the price agreement in AS.10.01 is applied.

The final price which is calculated in step 4 is assigned to the Ident.

If the ident is not found in any of the associated extra price catalogs, the Key Factor is applied to the price which is assigned in step 1.

If project-based ident is not found in the selected supplier price agreement, then the next highest supplier priority price agreement is considered for assigning the prices to project-based idents.

The results of assigning prices to project-based idents are displayed on the AS.10.02 Price Data screen.

Select the company price type in the first block to display a list of project-based idents with assigned prices for the selected price type in the Prices block.

This screen provides CWS (Core Workflow Screen) functionality. Adding fields, removing fields, defining CIPS, and creating configurations are allowed on this screen for the Prices block. For more information about the CWS, see Core Workflow Screens.

Double-click in any field in the Prices block to display the AS.10.05 Price Lists screen with the corresponding price list item.

The following are the additional fields that are displayed when the price display type is set to With Catalog:

  • Pos - Position of the price list item.

  • Manual - Indicates that the price list item has been manually updated.

  • Used in Proj. Spec - Indicates the ident is used in the project specification on the S.50.06 Specification Management screen.

  • Used in BOM - Indicates the ident is used in the BOM on the B.20.03 screen.

  • Price Status - Status of the price. The possible values for this field are:

    • The default value of this field is Null (empty value), which means that no price is assigned to the selected ident.

    • No Price - Indicates that the price is not provided by the supplier.

    • New - Indicates that the price is provided by the supplier.

    • Changed - The price status is set to this value when one or more cases occur as follows:

      • A price is re-assigned to the ident by clicking either Assign Project Specific Price to Ident again or Re-Assign Prices to Queried Idents.

      • The price is manually updated (indicated by thy cyan background color for the record).

      • When you click Release the Price.

    • Hold - Indicates that the price is on hold.

The following are the available buttons when the price display type is With Catalog:

  • Re-Assign Prices to Queried Idents - Performs the same function as Assign Project Specific Price to Ident on the AS.10.01 Price Types screen, except that the prices are assigned only to the queried idents.

  • Hold (Release) Selected Price - Holds the selected price; that is, the selected price is protected against any updates. When the price is on hold, the price status is set to ‘Hold’.

  • For the prices which are on hold, the button label changes to Release Selected Price. When this button is clicked, the price on hold is released and the price status is set to ‘Changed’.

  • For the prices which are not on hold, the button label changes to Hold Selected Price.

  • Check New Project Idents - Displays all idents which are created in the piping specification revision or in the BOM after Assign Project Specific Price to Ident was clicked on the AS.10.01 Price Types screen in the Prices block.

  • Clicking Re-Assign Prices to Queried Idents assigns prices to the respective idents if these idents are found in any of the supplier price agreements.

The available Context options are:

  • All - The Prices block displays all idents when Assign Project Specific Price to Ident is clicked on the AS.10.01 screen.

  • Idents from Highest Spec Rev - The Prices block displays all idents which belong to the highest spec revision on S.50.06.

  • Idents from BOM only - The Prices block displays all idents which belong to BOM only on B.20.03 or B.20.01.

  • Idents from Deleted Specs - The Prices block displays only those spec idents from AS.10.02 Price Data which are deleted from the highest issued spec revisions on S.50.06.

  • Query by Prices - The Prices block displays all idents regardless of the price type. Scrolling through the ident price data in this block displays the corresponding price type, price agreement number, and other relevant data in the top block.

  • Drag and Drop - This option is part of CWS. If this option is selected, the fields in the Prices block can be dragged and dropped anywhere in the block. Their widths can be increased or decreased.
