  1. The SDB 12.1 delivered instance must be created using SDB Setup wizard.exe. This will act as the source database for the merge process. For instructions on creating a delivered instance of the SDB, see Create SDB Database using SDB Setup Wizard.

  2. If multiple Oracle homes exists on the DB server, Oracle 18c home must be present before other Oracle homes in the path environmental variable.

    Migration to SDB 12.1 is irreversible, so a full database backup is strongly recommended before starting the migration process.
