Shop expediters and inspectors who work as freelancers and do not have access to the application can be registered in Smart Materials using the P.10.77 Shop Expediters/Inspectors screen. The expediter and inspector names are used on P.70.72 Expediting Details and on P.70.73 Order Reference.
To register an expediter or inspector, enter his/her name in the Shop Expediter/Inspector field. A summary of the resume/CV can be entered in the Resume field. Enter the link to the resume/CV document in the Resume Document field. To open this document, click the Open button.
The complete path must be provided in the Resume Document field to be able to open the document. The path must be entered in a way similar to the entries made for DBA settings ending with _URL on A.60.04. For more information, see Smart Materials DBA Settings.
The overall judgment about the expediter/inspector can be entered in the Judgment field. Select the area from the LOV in the Pertinent Area field. Double-click in the field to open the P.10.75 Pertinent Areas screen.
On the Reference Agencies tab at the bottom of the screen, you assign the reference agencies the expediter/inspector is working for. Reference agencies are defined on P.20.01 as suppliers.
Select the reference agency from the LOV in the Supplier field.
On the Communication Links tab, you can maintain contact data such as phone and fax number or email address for the shop expediters and inspectors.
Select the type from the LOV in the Communication Type field and enter the phone or fax number, email address, and so forth in the Address Value field.
