This section explains how to install the Smart API services and how to configure your installation to work with your site and the selected authentication server (SAM).
To send Smart API requests, your user credentials must be authenticated; therefore Smart Instrumentation Smart API needs to be registered with an authentication server such as:

Hexagon's Intergraph Smart API Manager (SAM) (recommended).

To register, you must be an Admin user with configuration permissions for the authentication
server.
