Support Placement Instructions

Use Place by Structure when the support is placed on horizontal duct running perpendicular to the supporting column.

  1. Click Place by Structure.

  2. Select the ducts.

  3. Select the beam.

  4. If the support is not placed in the correct orientation, use the Toggle Connection to Straight Feature and Toggle Connection to Structure buttons to change the orientation. There are up to four toggles.

Use Place by Point when the support is placed on horizontal duct running parallel to the supporting column

  1. Click Place by Point.

  2. Select the ducts.

  3. Optionally, select the beam.

  4. If the support is not placed in the correct orientation, use the Toggle Connection to Straight Feature and Toggle Connection to Structure buttons to change the orientation. There are up to four toggles.

Toggle Connection to Structure - Toggles the support to attach to the opposite face on the supporting steel section.

Toggle Connection to Straight Feature – Toggles the support to be reflected sections which face the opposite side of the duct.
