Smart 3D Version
12 (2018)

  • This library is designed to work with Smart 3D version 9.1 or higher.

  • All .dll files need to be delivered in the [Product Folder]\SharedContent\bin folder.

  • All ,xls files need to be delivered in the [Product Folder]\CatalogData\BulkLoad\AdditionalDataFiles folder.

  • All the .gif files (symbol icons) for assemblies need to be delivered in the [Product Folder]\SharedContent\HangersAndSupports\AssemblyImages\HS_Marine_Assy folder.

Bulkload Excel Workbooks

  1. Prerequisites:

Make sure that the following workbooks from the [Product Folder]\CatalogData\BulkLoad\AdditionalDataFiles\ folder are already bulkloaded

    • StructCrossSections-Japan-2005

    • HS_Str-Japan-2005 (available on the customer support web site)

If they were not bulkloaded, then bulkload the above workbooks.

  2. Bulkload the following workbooks from the customer support web site.

    • HS_Marine.xls

    • HS_Marine_Assy.xls

    • HS_Marine_Assy_Codelist.xls

  • Bulkload the delivered files into a catalog that has never had these supports bulkloaded before. Intergraph is not delivering AMD sheets.

  • This bulkload step needs to be done only once on one machine as it affects the Catalog db Server.

  • This should only be done in a catalog that has not previously had these workbooks loaded.

Bulkload by Append Mode

  1. Bulkload the sheets into your catalog in Append mode as shown.

The order of these sheets is important.

Bulkload by Delete and Replace Mode

  1. Only bulkload the delivered files (to an existing catalog) into a catalog that has Marine assemblies bulk loaded before.

  2. This bulkload step needs to be done once only on one machine as it affects the Catalog db Server.

  3. Bulkload the sheets into your catalog in Delete and Replace mode as shown.

Make a back up of your catalog at this point. That way, when loading future deliveries, you will not have to redo the previous steps. See the Sx3D Catalog Maintenance.doc file for more information.
