Support Placement Instructions

Use Place by Structure when the support is placed on horizontal duct running perpendicular to the supporting steel.

  1. Click Place by Structure.

  2. Select the ducts.

  3. Select the beam first, and then select the slab.

  4. If the support is not placed in the correct orientation, use the Toggle Connection to Structure button to change the orientation. There are up to two toggles.

Use Place by Point when the support is placed on horizontal duct running parallel to the supporting steel

  1. Click Place by Point.

  2. Select the ducts.

  3. Select the beam first, and then select the slab.

  4. If the support is not placed in the correct orientation, use the Toggle Connection to Structure button to change the orientation. There are up to two toggles.

Toggle Connection to Structure - Toggles the support to attach to the opposite face on the supporting steel section.

Toggle Connection to Straight Feature – NA
