Material Editor maintains a list of bore sizes for piping materials in both metric (mm) and imperial (in) units in the system material data. If needed, you can use the Bore Conversion Editor to update the system material data with additional bore sizes if any are missing. You can also edit any of the metric/imperial conversions that are delivered with the software.

Bore Conversion Editor Dialog Box Options

Sort Sizes (Small to Large)

Arranges the data in the sizes grid in descending order.

Sort Sizes (Large to Small)

Arranges the data in the sizes grid in ascending order.

Use basic conversion on this size

Performs the metric/imperial conversion automatically on the current row only. During the conversion, the software uses 1 inch = 25 mm as the basis.

Use basic conversion on all unconverted sizes

Performs the metric/imperial conversion automatically on all rows where the metric or imperial size is either missing or displays as a ?. During the conversion, the software uses 1 inch = 25 mm as the basis.

Sizes grid

Lists all the bore sizes available for piping materials. The software populates the list using system material data. The grid displays bore sizes in both metric and imperial units. You can add new bore sizes using the last row in the grid.

Saves all new bore sizes and any updates to existing sizes to the current Project Material Data.

To open the Bore Conversion Editor, click Tools > Bore Conversion Editor. Alternatively, click Bore Conversion Editor in the Material Builder Bore Sizes dialog box.
