On the Welds toolbar, use the Weld Type list to select the weld type. You can select Normal, Shop Test, or Tack.

Select the kind of weld to place. For example, select Place Field Fit Weld
. You can also select the kind of weld to place using the Welding menu.

Select the weld to change on the pipeline.
The software changes the weld to the selected weld type.

Continue selecting welds on the pipeline and changing them to the specified weld type.

Select Update Current View
on the Tools toolbar to refresh the display of the spools in the Pipeline Explorer and the Graphics window.
The software remains in Place Weld mode until you cancel it. To return to Select mode, you can:

Choose Select
on the View toolbar.

Select View > Select.

Right-click in the Graphics window, and select Cancel.
