Select Edit > Select By Command to display the Selection ribbon.

Use the Item Code, Group, and Component Type lists to select the properties the software is to match. The list of items that displays for each option is restricted to only those that currently occur in the open pipeline.

Select OK

The software searches the pipeline. Any component that matches your criteria displays in the default sketch color for selected components. In the example, a filter has been set up to locate all the flanges in the pipeline.

Select Cancel
to exit the command.

As long as the Select By command is active, you can continue to search for additional components: select items from the lists and select OK
.

Use Tools > Options Command to modify the display color of pipeline elements.
