You use this dialog to create a package file that will contain the reference data that you want to send to an off-site plant. The content of the package file depends on the selections that you make on this dialog.

The dialog options are as follows:

Reference Data

This section contains all item type folders that are available in the Reference Data Explorer. You use these folders to display the existing reference items that you can select to be included in the package. Expand or collapse the tree view and then select a folder to display its reference items in the grid on the right.

Items

Allows you to specify the reference items that you want to include in the package. The grid contains all the reference items that exist in the folder that you selected in the Reference Data tree view. The view of the reference items in the grid depends on the layout and filter that you select in the Folder view group box. If you do not select any layout or filter, the grid displays the item tag names and item tag descriptions.

Select

Allows you to select a reference item to be included in the package file. When cleared, the software excludes the reference item from the package.

If you select an item that has child items (for example a motor with a space heater), the software selects the child items automatically without displaying them in the Items grid.

Mandatory

Indicates whether a reference item is in use in the current plant or project and, in which case it is recommended that you include this item in the package.

If a reference item has been used in the current plant, the software marks this reference item as mandatory and it is recommended that you include it in the package.

Command Buttons

Open Session

Opens an existing session that you have saved previously. You can open a session from a saved session file or a package. On the Open dialog box, from the Files of type list, select one of the following:

  • Reference Data Selection Session (xml) to open a saved selections session.

  • Reference Data Package (zip) to open a session from an existing package.

Save Session

Saves the current session. It is possible to save the session as a session file or in an existing package.

Create Package

Starts the package creation process. At the end of the process the software informs you whether the package has been created successfully. You can select the Log button to open the package creation log file.

Report

Generates an Excel report that shows all the reference items that you have selected to be included in the package.

Log

Opens the package creation log file that lists the reference items that failed to be included in the package. You can try to correct the problems indicated in the log file and then open a new session from this package and select only those reference items that failed to be included in the package. The software retains the information in the log file for each package that you create. You can delete the old information as you see fit.
