A software update is intended for a specific version of the software. As new versions are released, additional input items become necessary and must be stored in the program data files. In addition, file formats change; databases grow, and so on. Applying a software update on a different version of the software (without specific consent from Hexagon PPM personnel) puts your software integrity at risk.
