Version — Select from the list the versions of AutoCAD you want to display in the Save As dialog box. This allows you to save your drawing in the version of your choice. You can select one or multiple versions. For example, if you want to save your drawings in version 2004 and 2010 select these versions from the Version list, the next time you open the Save As dialog box both versions are displayed for selection.
Each version year covers 3 consecutive years of AutoCAD starting from the selected year. For example 2010 covers 2010, 2011, and 2012 versions of AutoCAD.
