Use the slider to control the display performance of the Renderer window.

  1. Use the navigation controls to set up the model or section of the model to render. You can also select one or multiple objects in the Main view to render.

  2. Click View > Photo-Realism > Renderer to load and render the image.

The Renderer window displays what you have set up in the Main view.

  3. From the Renderer toolbar, click Settings .

The Renderer displays the Photo-Realism Settings dialog box.

  4. Move the slider to the option that best provides the display performance you require.

    • High Performance Hardware (GPU) - Uses the GPU exclusively for rendering. This option provides the highest performance and lowest quality setting.

    • Balanced (GPU and CPU) - Uses both GPU and CPU for rendering. This option provides the highest quality with moderate performance. This option is selected by default.

    • High Quality Software (CPU) - Uses the CPU exclusively for rendering. This option provides the highest quality and lowest performance setting.

When you move the slider to a setting, the Renderer immediately reloads and renders the model or selected objects to the new setting. The rendering status displays in the status bar in the lower part of the Renderer window.

  5. Close the Photo-Realism Settings dialog box.

The Renderer saves the setting for the current session. When you close the Renderer window and then reopen it, the setting returns to the default Balanced (GPU and CPU) setting.
